Rosie decided she really wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday this year. She has been getting more and more excited about it for awhile. We weren't sure that she would do it when she got there....but she did!

Lucky Tim
Tim has had a great year hunting, actually, the best year ever! The third day of bow season he put an arrow through this nice 10pt. It will make pope and young.
Opening morning of rifle season we were all out hunting and Tim shot two bucks, one 8pt and a 7pt. Talk about his lucky year!! They came by his stand about twenty min apart. He was the only one who got deer all weekend out of our hunting crew.

Rosie the Hunter
Rosie went out and hung a deer stand with me the other day and climbed up in it and decided that she was going to shoot a big buck. Opening weekend was so nice out that I decided to take her "out west" to a stand. She was very excited!
As we were getting our stuff on getting ready to go, she asked which one was her gun that she gets to use. Tim and I laughed and told her she could use the BB gun and take with. She thought that was great!
Then as I was starting to tell her that when "we" get to the stand, she interupted and said, "You are going to come with me?" We laughed again! In her mind she was thinking she was taking her gun, going out west, and going to shoot herself a big buck by herself!
She sat pretty good for being four years old. She wispered and ate some fruit snacks quietly. Then just as the sun was falling over the tree tops she decided to sit on my lap so she could see over the shooting rail to help me watch for deer. About two min. later, she was sleeping:) It was great, she had fun.....and so did I!

Ginger bread houses
Karly and Rosie made ginger bread houses today. They thought it was pretty fun.
They wanted to eat them when they were done so we had to use all frosting and no real glue.
This is Karly's done! It lasted about 2 hours after she made it then see ate some of it! The little gramcrackers laying down are the side walks with their letter of their name on it.
Here is Rosie's finished house. She hasn't eaten hers yet. She likes to look at it. On Monday she is going to be making ginger bread man cookies at school, she might have to save it and bring to school to put her ginger bread man in.
It was a fun thing that I think we might try and do it every year.....next year we will have to wait for Natalie to be here!
